The elected representatives

Under the constitution, members of the State Parliament represent everyone and not just people who have voted for them. They have a free mandate, so are free to vote and act based solely on their own conscience. Their mandate gives them both rights and obligations. The elected representatives’ full-time job involves attending plenary sessions, cooperating within their parliamentary groups and serving on committees. Working in their own constituencies plays an equally vital role.
